Behind the Lens

About me... I am a freelance photographer living and working in the Weald of Kent, the Garden of England. I have a passion for history and architecture and I'd like to think that this comes across in my work. My second love is for the sea and boats, this most likely comes from a lovely childhood spent growing up by Poole Harbour and Sandbanks. I spend many hours by the coast photographing the old fishing boats, particularly Dungeness, Whitstable and Hastings in neighbouring East Sussex.

My camera goes everywhere with me, I'd hate to miss that 'special moment' when the light is just perfect and the scene so beautiful. I currently shoot with a Nikon D300 and a selection of Nikkor and Sigma lens's, my favourites being the wide-angled Sigma 10-20mm EX and my trusty Nikkor 18-200mm VR.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
